The Medlin Double Horn features:

  • Geyer/ Knopf wrap with .468 Bore
  • All branches in a single piece, eliminating extra joints
  • Hand made- to- fit braces reduce tension in the horn and provide better response
  • Slide tubes hand lapped to ensure an air- tight seal and smooth pull
  • Cut bell standard at no extra cost
  • Corrosion resistant red brass leadpipe
  • Amado water keys on leadpipe and/or short F branch
  • Mechanical or string thumb valve
  • Adjustable pinky hook or Clebsch strap

The Bb/A- Bb/C ascending single horn is a new innovation in single horn construction and use. It allows the player to use the benefits of a lightweight single horn in a multitude of environments. This horn performs fantastically for:

  • Solo recitals
  • Chamber music or other intimate groups
  • Baroque and classical works which might require a lighter, more agile sound
  • High horn in orchestral situations to replace the less pleasant sound of a high f or descant horn
  • … and many more!
