Medlin Horns is driven by a simple mission: we want horn players to love playing their instrument. That’s it. We believe every time you pick up your horn, you should enjoy creating your art. Otherwise, what’s the point?
After nearly two decades as a horn builder, Jacob has garnered extensive knowledge about the horn’s inner workings. Time and time again, he has seen first hand that a well-maintained, mechanically sound horn works with you, not against you.
We’d be happy to talk with you if you’re interested in enhancing your instrument, whether it’s a Medlin or from another maker.

Not sure where to start? Bring your horn to the shop for Jacob take a look at it. Tell him about those little quirks that you’ve just dealt with over the years (squirrely notes, slow/sticking valves, any unusual noises, etc). He will explain what he sees (and hears) from a technical standpoint, and suggest options to address the issues. Improving your horn’s performance can be something as simple as refitting a brace, or as significant as major overhaul - and anywhere in between. You decide what makes sense to do (or not).
